I don’t know what’s coming, but I want to be alive for it.
Life’s a lot. Here’s how to be with.
The Secret Garden is a place to meet seasons differently.
Not by having all the answers.
Not by fixing ourselves.
But by learning how to remain here — in relationship with our bodies, with the earth, with one another and with the life that is actually unfolding.
Welcome to the garden.
For 90 days, we’re opening the gate and inviting you to come and play with us.
There is nothing you need to know before you arrive.
You don’t need to understand somatics.
You don’t need a meditation practice.
You don’t need to be good at slowing down.
And you certainly don’t need to have life figured out.
Inside the garden, we’ll share practices, conversations, movement, ritual, reflections, teachings and small invitations into inspired action.
Some things will be planned.
Some things will grow because someone asks a beautiful question.
Some things we haven’t thought of yet.
That is part of the experiment.
Because this garden is not something we want to build and then invite you into.
We want to grow it with you.
A garden for being human
At its heart, The Somatic Garden is a somatic community.
But perhaps even that makes it sound more complicated than it is.
Somatic simply means of the body.
This is about remembering how to be here.
How to notice your feet on the ground when the world feels chaotic.
How to recognise what is happening inside you before you become completely swept away by it.
How to find a small pocket of peace in the middle of a difficult day.
How to move through change without abandoning yourself.
How to feel joy when joy arrives.
How to recognise when something needs tending.
And how to remember that sometimes the wisest thing we can do is stop pulling at the leaves and allow something to grow.
This isn't a somatic therapy training.
It's a somatic experience.
A place to practise being alive.
What you’ll find inside
Over the first 90 days, the garden will gradually fill with things for you to explore.
There will be:
- Somatic practices
Simple ways to return to your body, notice what is here and find presence amongst the noise.
- Movement
Opportunities to move, breathe, feel and reconnect with yourself through the body.
- Ritual & earth connection
Simple rituals that bring us into relationship with the seasons, the elements and the ordinary sacredness of being alive.
- Conversations & teachings
Explorations of uncertainty, transitions, relationships, rites of passage, nervous system wisdom and what it means to live an embodied life.
- Practices for supporting others
Simple, client-centred ways of listening, being present and creating space for the people in our lives.
- Monthly free webinars
Longer spaces to gather, learn, explore and be together.
- Quotes, questions & little provocations
Things to carry into your week and allow to work on you.
And perhaps most importantly:
A place to bring your questions, discoveries, messy middles, tiny victories and the things you are still trying to understand.
Your pocket of peace
We aren't promising that life will become less complicated.
There will still be bills.
Children will still have meltdowns.
Relationships will stretch us.
Bodies will change.
Worlds will collapse.
People we love will leave.
Plans will unravel.
The world will continue being the world.
What we hope you begin to discover is something quieter.
A place inside yourself you can return to.
A breath.
A sensation.
Your feet against the earth.
A hand resting somewhere on your body.
A moment where you realise:
I am here.
Even when life is a lot.
Especially when life is a lot.
That little pocket of presence can change the way we meet everything that comes next.
The first 90 days are our gift to you.
Come into the garden.
Wander around.
Try things.
Ignore other things.
Ask questions.
Bring what you're wrestling with.
Get your hands dirty.
Pull a few weeds.
Plant something.
Rest beneath the trees.
Meet some people.
See what grows.
For the first 90 days, The Somatic Garden is completely free.
At the end of those 90 days, we'll open the next season of the garden as an optional low-cost monthly membership.
There is no obligation to continue.
For now, we're simply opening the gate.
And we'd love you to come inside.
I don’t know what’s coming, but I want to be alive for it.
Come play in the garden with us.
