1:1 Somatic Therapy and Expressive Body Art©

We acknowledge the Darkinjung people as the Traditional Custodians of this land where we hold our ritual today. We pay our respects to Elders, past and present, and extend that respect to any Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people with us today.

STUDENT EXPERIENCE

"There are very few spaces like the one you hold"

Lauren, your work is incredible, the way you meet this work and the students within it, reminds me of an elder who wants to share her medicine and share she does.

I know you are not an elder but the way you teach and lead without conditions is so admirable. You are the real deal, in as far as you really do walk your talk and more than that you really do celebrate those who you train.

There are very few spaces like the one you hold, and it is what we need more than ever. not another certification that is simply the skills or method, but how you deliver the method. I have transformed so much through this training and I cant thank you enough.

Somatic Facilitator Advanced Training -
Deepen your capacity to hold complex nervous systems with precision, presence, and relational intelligence

I'M SO READY!
We acknowledge the Bundjalung people as the Traditional Custodians of this land where we hold our ritual today. We pay our respects to the Elders, past and present, and extend that respect to any Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people with us today.

“It’s not about how much we know, but more about our ability to listen to what is here.” - Lauren

A live advanced training for experienced somatic practitioners, therapists, and facilitators who want to confidently guide clients into deeper layers of body wisdom, relational repair, and self-trust.

There is a sacred field that comes alive when two people meet in true relationship. Inside that relational field lives a vast intelligence that cannot be forced or controlled, only listened to. This training is for practitioners who feel that truth in their bones and want concrete, reliable ways to work with it in the room: to attune to the body, track subtle signals, and guide clients toward their own inner authority.

In the Somatic Therapist Advanced Training, you will learn how to:

  • Cultivate a relational field where the body’s wisdom can safely surface and be witnessed

  • Track and work with sensation, movement, and creative expression to support integration

  • Use dialogue that invites clients into present-moment awareness without overwhelming their system

  • Trust your intuition while staying tethered to clear frameworks and ethical facilitation

  • Hold more complexity, grief, trauma, and expansion in your clients without burning out your own body

It’s not about how much you know. It’s about your capacity to listen to what is here now: the micro-shifts in breath, the almost-imperceptible impulse to move, the quiet instinct that wants to be believed. This training refines your ability to attune to those layers, so your work becomes less about “doing techniques” and more about co-creating a field where real transformation can happen.

In 9 months you will be expanding your root system into the community that surrounds you with an intensive practicum

With mentorship and community learning, you will be able to develop a 1:1 Somatic Facilitator Practice personalized to you and the journey you are on

Expect to be inspired by other guest facilitators to help you refine your path and direction towards your purpose with this work

STUDENT EXPERIENCE

"Love everything you do."

I have been a therapist for over 13 years now and this process with you has been one of remembering who I am under all of the training I have received. Who I am as an individual within the therapeutic space.

It has been difficult at times as I have fallen into my previous training and current practice of mapping symptoms and your guidance has been really supportive of me unravelling this.

THANK YOU!

What is Expressive Body Art?

"The artistry by the body to evoke emotion and imagination through shapes, gestures

and movement.

This therapeutic process brings form to somatic experience which facilitates dialogue between inner world and

out world."

- InnerLoom Somatic Process

"This weekend with Lauren was a huge eye opener for me. I was truly blown away with what my body could tell me I needed on such a deep level. Lauren held such a beautiful safe space, which made it easy to open up and share. It felt so good to move my body intuitively, to listen what was best for me. Lauren provided enough guidance for you to get started and then trust yourself to move how you needed and listen to your body."

-Lara R.

"What an incredible weekend! Lauren guided us through the aspects of somatosensory facilitation in such a genuine, thoughtful way. The space was welcoming and safe, and the group was so caring and supportive of one another. The training was phenomenal, I learnt so much about not just the somatosensory system, but my own body and mind. I felt completely able to take on the knowledge and apply it straight away to my own life, as well as my work. I cannot wait to see what comes out from this amazing weekend."

- Zoe

"Lauren guided us through a beautiful weekend of exploration. Lauren created a warm, inviting space for everyone to connect and feel supported without any judgement. I felt safe to show up exactly where I was at which looked very different both days. It was devine timing for me to truly connect with myself and my emotions and i discovered a lot that has helped draw attention to parts of myself that I had been avoiding or just felt like I'd moved passed them. Lauren is a compassionate, loving, authentic leader that holds the space for everything to arise and is able to add so much light to the experience."

-Sarah D.

"Lauren has a wonderful way of creating a safe and supportive space to explore the body and discover somatic movement and its various tools. She teaches from a space of total passion that is so inspiring. At the introductory course I had so many “aha” moments and took away from it much more awareness of my body and how I can tap into what it is telling me on a day to day basis. Such a beautiful two days surrounded by a great group all journeying through it together guided by Lauren’s wisdom."

WHO IS LAUREN / LOLLY?
(the founder of Innerloom and your teacher

A renegade in the field of somatics with a deep desire to show people the richness that lives in their sensations.

Lolly lives with the vision and dream to bring relational healing to the forefront of our industry.

Her teachings and stories are carried through a lineage of women somatic therapists which encourages that this practice may be rooted in Earth-based theories and ecological systems.

With Latina, Irish and Greek heritage, she aims to deconstruct colonial frameworks within the ways in which we pursue this modality and work with bodies.

Lolly is known for her ability to teach in response to what’s alive in the space and effectively shows students how to facilitate from a place of present centered awareness rather than a prescriptive approach.

It is her deep understanding after working with bodies for many years that in order to be of a living body, we must be able to feel what’s here and right now versus what we want to be here.

InnerLoom arrived into the field at a moment of deep emotional rupture when her body was no longer available to bypass systemic issues that contribute to the individual and collective body.

This led her to weave in an approach to somatics that centered a more systemic approach to healing. Instead of searching for the ‘root problem’ Lauren aims to establish relationships and an environment that allows for the body to process and digest life organically.

This way of being with the body has effectively dismantled many ideas and theories that reside within our current body based therapies and modalities.

Her mission is to untether from individual healing processes so that we may lean into collective and nature based healing practices.

Lolly believes that Somatics will be the bridge that heals our relationship to our bodies, to one another and to the planet.

WHO IS TRACEY? (co-mentor)

You’ll most often find me in nature, with my hands placed on a tree, connecting through my senses. My senses have always been my compass; guiding me across the world through travel and guiding me inward to discover my body’s wisdom.

For me, somatics is not just a practice, it is a way of living; especially as I step into my maga and crone years.

At this stage of life, movement is no longer about doing, but about being moved with life itself.

For much of my life, my movements were shaped by comparison and the belief that I had to mimic the gestures and postures of others. Through somatic therapy, I have learned to embrace my ageing body, and grieve the parts of me that I used to use as part of my strategy for living, to move with the seasons of my life, and to rediscover the joy of moving simply for fun.

My children often roll their eyes when I dance in the street or at the supermarket, but the beauty of age is that I no longer care what others think. My body moves because it can, and because it delights me.

A vital part of my work is weaving in connection to the pelvic space. Through movement and presence, this space has become a powerful relationship to nurture; a place of grounding, vitality, and deep wisdom.

My love of adventure and exploring the world through my senses also infuses my practice. I will touch, smell, listen, and gaze in awe at new places and experiences, and I carry this same curiosity when navigating the inner terrain of my being. The familiarity of my senses is the resource I take with me into new and unknown experiences, supporting me as parts of myself are called forward.

Where self-abandonment was once a constant, I now have the tools to turn toward the parts of me I had neglected. The result is a self-honouring I once yearned to find outside of myself, but now  practice the process of returning back to body again and again.

I often say: “Life is wasted on those not living. To live is to move with life.”

I bring over 13 years of facilitation and 9 years of teaching adult learners how to hold space into this work. I don’t believe certifications are what make someone a great space holder; it is the courage to go into the places you are inviting others to enter.

It is an honour to serve as a mentor in this collective, supporting facilitators and guides who are devoted to awakening aliveness, authenticity, and presence through somatic therapy.
